Lindsay Latva’s work is inspired by her ever-growing understanding of the need to connect with nature and the world around her. Working primarily in fiber, she explores themes of fragility, femininity, and journey through weaving, tapestry, and felted vessel construction, using slow and intentional processes that reflect a deep respect for material and place.
An avid outdoorsperson, Lindsay lives in Colorado with her husband. Together they have climbed all of Colorado’s 14,000-foot peaks, summited Mount Rainier, and completed numerous alpine ascents, and Lindsay has hiked the Colorado Trail in its entirety. These experiences in remote landscapes strongly inform her artistic practice and conceptual approach.
Her current work explores visual representations of balancing perfectionism with flexibility and the compartmentalization of various aspects of life, using fiber as a language to examine structure, tension, and adaptation while remaining grounded in the natural world.
I’d love to hear from you! Whether you have questions about my work, are interested in collaborations, or just want to say hello, feel free to reach out.
